WW1 Photos and Rules
We have started to play test Hex based WW1 rules, so here's a few photos of our games.
We are aiming to develop a generic system which can be used throughout the war, but are initially focussing on early war western front.

Re: WW1 Rules
that looks great. do you need any help playtesting ?
Re: WW1 Photos and Rules
Sure would welcome vital feedback once the first draft is available. The WW1 game mechanics were developed for a big Cambrai game some years back. The same chap who wrote this set is helping develop and write a more comprehensive updated version.
Re: WW1 Photos and Rules
ok . I look forward to seeing them when they are ready.

Some intense expressions there. Looking forward to these.
Why is there a vertical board going around the table?

Hi Von Kinkerhoffen
Sally puts a white board up for when she takes close up photos as can be seen in the first lot of photos at the top.

Re: WW1 Photos and Rules
James and I revisited the wargame table to check out the effect of long range rifle fire on troops advancing in the open - despite the look on our faces it worked quite well with this time the French on the recieving end! We didn't bother to take the white boards down - didn't want to upset Sally
