WW1 Belgians - Yser cap

Post by von Klinkerhoffen »

I finally managed to get around to photographing my Belgians:

The second image is with them on a movement tray.

Some lovely figures, and I must admit that I have painted these in maybe a too 'regular' uniform, as by this stage of the war they were wearing whatever Belgian uniforms they could get their hands on, and also civilian clothing.

I really like the look of these dark uniformed Belgians. I have a fair number spray primed with satin black, mounted on wooden strips and waiting for attention from my paint brush! They have been in their current state of readiness for a few weeks. You've inspired me to get back to them. Belgians holding north of Ypres could be a good scenario for a game.
Kind regards
Paul

Although not my period at all, I do love the variety of figures and the animation. You have done them justice. Very nice
