ACW or other Horse and Musket rules?

Post by Josh »

Hi all,

I'd be interested in hearing about any rulesets people might be using that would be suitable for the ACW. I know there are a lot of hex and counter rules out there but they generally require very high hex counts, often 50x50 hexes or even larger so not suitable for use with Hexon terrain. I have been playing with non hex rules and have dabbled with some homebrew hex rules but would be interested to hear if there is a commercial set out there that people would recommend.

Cheers,
Josh

p.s. I have enough Hexon terrain to cover a 7.5 x 6 foot table.

http://www.imagineimage.org/WebHelp/index.htm is our rules for WW2 using 4 inch hexes.

Hex Command Gunpowder is available from our site and will be turned into an online document in the coming days.

For now, you can get Hex Command Gunpowder from our site at www.imagineimage.org.

The rules have proven to be very successful here in the U.S. at every convention we present them.

You should NOT be disappointed with these rules and they can be used for ANY era in the Horse and Musket period in fact we use for the Pike and Shotte as well.

Questions.. just let us know.

Hi,

Our group is currently working on AWI, ACW and Napoleonic hex based rules for use with hexon terrain. We aim to make them available when we've sorted out all the details - much play testing has already been done - I will keep folks informed as we progress!
Kind regards
Paul

At Hammerhead this Saturday, 1st March, some members of the Forest Outlaws wargames club are running a hex based American War of Independence 12mm game using a new set of rules which club members have helped to develop. Come along and take a look!
Kind regards
Paul
