Ancients Range

Post by von Klinkerhoffen »

Hi

I am pleased that you have ventured into the ancients period and that you have started with the Romans and ‘Celts’.

Do you have plans to expand this range, I expect you have? I have a few suggestions:

i Praetorians for the Romans, a crest and oval shield,
and command figures?
ii Legionaries in mail armour - Augustan?
iii Some Germans -Teutoburg Forest?
iv Testudo for the Romans?
v Characters like Aulus Plautius, Boudicca, Caractacus,
Arminius, Publius Quinctilius Varus, Caesar,
Vercingetorix, Asterix, Obelix, Getafix (😆)?

I apologise for asking when this is such a new range.

Hi,
Hordes & Heroes ancients was a response to persistent pressure from customers and in many ways is the natural progression back in time from the medieval ranges. The response to the initial release of 30 blisters -15 Imperial Roman and 15 Celts, has been very positive and I've had to schedule in another full day of casting Ancients for Tuesday this week to replenish stocks!

We will expand the range in good time - thanks for the suggestions - I think the Asterix angle might through up some copyright issues! Good fun though!
I am currently working on additions to the Medieval Chinese range, again in response to customer requests. We will focus back on to the Ancients when these are in production.
Kind regards
Paul

Hi Paul

The Asterix (Obelix, Getafix) suggestion was tongue in cheek, though I think you could bypass the copyright issues by calling them something different?

I look forward to future releases.
