Re: Power drills?
I presume you have the Dremel held in a drill stand or bench vice? Just the weight of the drill would snap a 0.35mm drill bit. I mention this out of curiosity and to advise any beginner to be careful. No I wing it free style. I hold the model on the table with pliers and then lay my right hand on t...

Re: Power drills?
I would not recommend using a power drill for such small models, mainly because of the torque and because if you slip the drill will not stop? Also, the drill bit can 'stick' and with a small drill bit it will snap off leaving the drill bit embedded in the model! You are right in saying this is a p...

whats in the future.
Hi folks I've been a bit quiet for a while, mainly because I have "rested up" the dark age project (mainly because it's all but complete) with only the Irish to go and they are planned for after new year. I am currently heavily into assembling some early 18th century imagi-nations for &quo...

Re: Power drills?
Dremel seems to be the 'best', as i understand it, it has a low speed setting of 300 rpm, which is meant to be the modellers friend. I use the cheaper Draper 140w multi-tool but the lowest speed is 10000 rpm or 15000 rpm (the information with the machine conflicts on the point) and while I like it,...

The "tuatha" goes to war. Irish warlord
Hi folks It was really nice to finally meet you at salute but as you were so busy I kept it short but at least now i can put faces to names. Well I'm home now and the project continues. I got a little side tracked from my endless grind of Pictish elements to work on an Irish general. I wanted him in...

question regarding the single figure packs.
This is a first class idea however I have a question regarding them. Are these new casts or simply existing packs cast singly. The reason I ask is that you advertise for example:- "810 Romano British Armoured Infantry - 32 SINGLE figures + 4 bases)" but in the original list there are no ar...
