Underlying hex board for Eclipse board game

Hi folks,
I have been recently looking into the rules of the space game Eclipse and found that Kallistra could be very useful for this game to create an underlying space board. The galactic centre is in the middle of the table and each of the 6 player Empires are one hex gap away. Considering expansion during the game I'm anticipating no more than 5 hexes from the centre (inc the centre). So we have the following Kallistra board:
To build this board uses:
(1) Two packs of black singles (coloured red in the picture)
(2) One pack of a different colour (coloured blue in the picture)
(3) 6 Hexon II boards black (coloured orange in the picture) Here are a couple of tiling arrangements using a minimal number of kallistra tiles: Hope this is useful if you are considering playing this game.
Best wishes,
Graham
