Raging Empires 2025 - interim update?

Hello Raging Empires enthusiasts.
I have some Great War armies that were well used for Square Bashing but fell out of favour with my group a few years ago.
Two weeks ago I proposed that I put on a game of Raging Empires. Taking the first step to familiarise myself, I played a small solo game, one side assaulting a static defence in the open, feeding in fresh battalions as waves crumbled. I had fun!
Re-reading the rules fillsed in gaps I had missed. I acknowledge that the rules are FREE and Draft at this stage. (Are they still in draft mode after 11 years?)
I can see many posts with questions, solutions, and so on, and people seem to be playing away happily. Are you all still playing the unmodified draft?
Is there an updated version/addendum of these rules available somewhere - I can't find anything. Should I be looking somewhere else?
Breakpoints: I am going to use 50% - what are people using?
Commanders: What is their purpose, except to enable you to spread out a bit. No morale purpose - "Steady lads!"
I can devise solutions, but surely someone has already been and done this.
What Kallistra has done with the hex rules is great - I even bought a couple of boxes of Hexion terrain in anticipation!

Similar situation, very interested in using Raging Empires for the Eastern Front, but looks like the rule system has been “parked” for some time.

Yes, Raging Empires does seem to be abandonned.
I might ask Kallistra directly whether the rules development has stopped, and what we could do about it.
I'm playing a game with friends tonight.
I'm suprised that none of the people that have given feedback on the rules to Kallistra (Paul?) have replied here.
This thread has had over 8000 views. That shows that there's a fair bit of interest in the rules.
