While it is possible to form a plateau using slopes and boards - I would be looking for single hexed mountains with plateau in the first instance, then possibly 2 or a 3 but these are less important to me.
I am not worried about scale - they are for gaming purposes.

Idea for new piece of Kallistra
Hi folks, I came up with an idea for a new piece of kallistra namely a “mountain with a plateaux top”. The idea is that it looks like a mountain but troops can stand on top. The problems I experience with existing kallistra are as follows: 1) Mountains are impassable terrain 2) Hills don’t have that...

Kallistra and Hornby Railway
Hi folks, Thought I would drop you a post today to let you know how I am enjoying my Kallistra. I enjoy war gaming but don't get the chance to play often, so lately I have been mixing my Kallistra with my model trains. Here are the results: IMG_1769.jpg IMG_1770.jpg IMG_1771.jpg IMG_1772.jpg IMG_177...

Re: Painting Project - Battle of the Somme
Hi Sally,
Thank you for posting the pictures - the miniatures are painted very nicely and just a small number of colours but very effective - I do like the greens.
Best wishes,
Graham

Re: What's next?
Hi Paul, Hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. Please can you post some photos of your prototypes of the bunkers soon - can't wait to see the new additions! Look forward to it very much. I generally find "sit on top" terrain features are the best way forward - it is often tricky ad...

Napoleonic Coastal Batteries - your opinions
Hi folks, I'm getting into Napoleonic naval warfare and would like to put together some coastal batteries. I have some single hexes which I painted white and thinking about putting some model cannons on - I'm not that worried about scale. I'm probably going to use 1:1000 scale ships. Do you think th...

Re: What rules do you use for aircraft hex games?
Hi Dane, Thanks for the reply - had not considered modern aircraft and how that differs - re: speed and manoeuvrability? Found a set of rules on http://www.juniorgeneral.org by Mic McGoldrick that uses a card deck for each plane - the main difference between ww1 and ww2 being the Immelman turn manoe...

Re: Battle of the Kursk - Summer 1943
Setting up day 2: Thanks for the reply Dane. Just been adding in some more troops to nearly finish the setup. See below: The Russian tank divisions - these were here on day 1 but they are quite distant in the photo: IMG_1258.JPG A couple more photos (From the Russian side looking towards the German...
